Salut mes Linzer :-),

this week our Communication-Team announced the T-Shirt competition. The idea of an own LC-Linz T-Shirt should not be a great dream any longer. Therefore be creative and send your ideas till 19^th December 08 to the Communication-Team. The Team with the best idea will get a surprise, so accept the challenge ;)!

Moreover our X-Team informed us about some exchange opportunities, Harry gave us an update regarding the AIESEC-Mensafest and the focus of this LCM was the decision-making-training. Before we put theory into practice by means of a game, Johanna gave us an understanding of the Sigmund Freud's structural - id-ego-superego - model using a great role call :)! I will for sure not forget to mention our lovely guest from Brazil: Andrieli Vizzoto, Samuel his girlfriend. BIENVENIDA chica : )!

After our meeting we went for a drink to the LUI, where some of us presented an amazing Karaoke - performance : )!

I'm looking forward to seeing you all again ;)

Hello my SUPPA LINZA :-),

do you remember everything what we did this week in our LCM? No??? You just remember the faked “A-Team” :-))?? In such a dilemma or in case you are not able to attend our lovely meeting, you don’t need to become desperate!

From now on you will find a brief summary of what happened in our weekly getting together and it’s a great pleasure for me to take the responsibility for this blog. I hope you will like it and if not…sorry but I will keep writing nevertheless :-)))))

So what was going on this week?

First of all Harry informed us about our AIESEC-Mensafest, which will take place on 11^th December 08. Don’t forget to help promoting our Mensafest e.g. change your picture on facebook/ studivz!

According to this, the OC Update was the theme. Nominated for the OC President is our lovely "Michi-Mouse" and her OC-Team consists of Metti, Elisabeth, Marina and my humble self :-) . Congratulation! Afterwards our X-Team informed us about the language test and Karin gave us an introduction in MyAIESEC.net.

We had a Team Update as well and we all have been so engaged that we forgot to welcome our guest, Peter Heinzl who will be the Chair at the NK1 (January 09). Sorry once again :-))!

Finally our meeting ended with a Happy- Birthday- Song for our cute Shiying alias Schilling :- )) and yesssss this time we did not cry :-)) !

Where were you? Where have you been? No updates for months!!!
Yes, that's true and I am truly sorry for that but I will make it up for you guys, by presenting to...... THE SUMMER RECAP in a fastword-stlye :)

So, what happened after our EB-team-building and -plannig days? Well, of course we, the EB-team, started to turning our plans into reality! :)
First we had our LK1 (Lokal Kongress 1) where we presented our plans and our budget to the members of our LC. And, we had support from our lovely LC Coach, Cathrin. Since Peter and Martin were late, the had to perform our roll-call "move it, move it". Just compare this video with the one taken at NK2. Can you she the hhhhhuuuuuuuuugggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeee difference. Peter and Martin, you definetely need to practise more! Shame on you! :)

In August, LC Linz then organized "START"-Conference.

And then finally after three months waiting desparatly for him, he finally arrived!!! On Sept. 2nd, SAMUEL, our amazing CEEDer (VP TM) from Santa Maria, Brazil landed at the airport in Linz-Hörsching. Picking him up together with Mikel was really an amazing feeling. And I am truly soooooooooooooooooooooo happy that the is here!!! And trust me, among all the canditates that applied, he for sure was the right one! By taking him, we truly made the best decision ever!!! :)

As you know, i will spend the next ~10 months in France.

EB Teambuilding & Planning

Teambuilding - 02. & 03. July 2008 - BauAkademie, Steyregg - Coach: Kevin

What do five people need for a two days teambuliding?....Well, I don't know what "normal" people need but i can tell you what we - the EB0809 - needed: Ropes, 4 scarves, 1 tent, flipcharts, markers, a personal object, canvas, fingerpaints and much, much more! ;-)

What was the goal of this TB?...Enabling the EB0809 to profoundly get to know each other through participative and interactive exercises [imagine the following situation: building up a tent in the middle of the night with one person not being able to hear anything, two not being able to see and one trying to coordinate eyerything while there's thunder and lightning around you], personality assessments [Basti is blue, Mikel is yellow and Andi & I are green] and feedback processes to increase the effectiveness and future results.

Were we successful with achieving this goal? ... Oh yeah, for sure! We are a team now and we will rock as EB0809 of LC Linz!!! :-)

During these two days we put up plan for our term inlcuding focus areas [members, structure, increase number of TN takers/enablers, external communciation and branding], strategies, actions steps as well as a timeline.

But it wouldn't have been the planning of the EB0809 of Linz if we hadn't had fun - and trust me we had fun! I don't really know how you, Martina, could bear with us these two days, but you definitely proved that you are very patient and tolerant! ;-)
